| In order to provide complete test coverage of the Gateway, it is important to have a testing effort that departs from a StructuredTesting procedure. This way, unanticipated application behavior stands a greater chance of being discovered and documented, perhaps even exposing application bugs, which would not otherwise be detected. To engage in the effort of unstructured testing, a tester shall use intuition and common sense when approaching the Gateway and using its features. To preserve as broad a perspective as possible, no further documentation concerning the Gateway shall be provided to the tester. The tester should simply go to https://wijisgwtest.wisconsin.gov/gateway/ and provide login credentials that WIJIS provided. Testers are strongly encouraged to explore the entire application. Testers shall document each activity attempted, the anticipated behavior, and the actual, resulting behavior. Any suggestions concerning behavior, especially where a gap between anticipated and actual was discovered, are welcomed and should be included in the tester's results. The total test effort should take about 8 to 12 hours to complete. This amount of testing time can be expected to be spread throughout a window of test opportunity to last about three weeks in length. |
